Jerusalemites: Zaki's story

Zaki is happy person with a sense of humor. You can meet him in the Old City.

Zaki: “Where are you from?”
Me: “From heaven.”
Zaki: “Did you meet Messiah on your way? And do you know why he hasn’t come to Israel yet?”
Me: “I don’t know.”
Zaki: Israel didn’t give him visa to enter the country”.
“I am a Palestinian. I was born in Jerusalem in the Muslim quarter of the Old City. I am selling this bread for about 15 years. What else to do if you’re a Palestinian? The money I make I spend on cigarettes because I am nervous. I had been in prison for 10 years because of selling that bread and one day, all of the sudden the whole world woke up and help me get out. I was on TV all around the world… If you buy a book about Jerusalem you’ll see my picture.”
