Since When Does Policy Overrule Law?
Dan Shapiro, US ambassador to Israel, has accused Israels government of applying a different set of laws to Jews and Palestinians in the West Bank.

The father of the teenage Arab terrorist who murdered the mother of six, Dafna Meir in her home on Sunday night has expressed pride over his son’s gruesome actions. Speaking to Palestinian media, Adais’s father said he was proud of his son for stabbing the unarmed nurse to death. “I am proud of him,” he said.
The European Union reinforced Monday, its position that products made in Israeli settlements, must be clearly labeled in Europe. This was announced in light of ongoing daily terrorist attacks on Jews by Palestinians, will surely increase as a result of the EU statement, giving murder its legitimacy.
EU Ministers, Monday took it upon themselves to ignore Israels legal right to its land under International Law and reiterated their position that the lands Israel has occupied since the 1967 Middle East war including the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, are not part of the internationally recognized borders of Israel. This is a policy statement, not a legal interpretation on their part. As such, goods from there cannot be labeled "Made in Israel" and should be labeled as coming from settlements, which the EU considers illegal under its description of international law. It comes at a time purposely when Palestinians attacks occur on a daily basis with the death toll increasing rapidly. The timing is meant to to increase pressure on Israel to withdraw to the '67 lines. This EU announcement will encourage continued heightened attacks. Israel's foreign ministry said in response to the statement on Monday that the EU continues to hold Israel to double standard, while ignoring the Palestinian role in stalled peace talks and about 200 other conflicts over territory in the world. Israel has said repeatedly, that it is willing to restart talks with the Palestinians on no preconditions. EU actions such as this only gives Abbas a reason not to talk, because the EU can give Abbas what he wants, replacing Israels government with his and renaming Israel, Palestine.
Israel's sovereignty over its land is as legal as Jordan's sovereignty over their land, both their borders were set from the same 1922 Partition agreement and placed into law. If the EU wishes to redirect this agreement then, Jordan borders will have to be addressed as well. In the event that the EU deems the 1922 partition agreement not valid, than the 1920 British Mandate must be reinstated, because that was where the Partition agreement was adopted from.
Its been said many times, that If Israel was given its independence when it should have in 1920, the Nazi's may have never risen to power, and WWII may have never occurred. Each of the 28 EU nations today that voted for this policy had a role to play in the deportation and extermination of Jews under the Nazi regime. Hitler was able to do what he did to the Jews, only because that was the climate of hatred and detest against the Jews throughout Europe. And the EU was able to amend such a policy today regarding the settlements because it has gone unchanged from that day.There are distinct similarities in Mondays EU announcement to the1935 Nazi Nuremberg laws, excluded Jews from citizenship, as the EU excludes Jews from the 1922 territories, and supporting ordinances to the laws disenfranchised Jews and deprived them of most political rights. The 1935 laws as today's EU laws required Jews to register their property and businesses. In the 1935 laws, Jewish workers and managers were dismissed, and the ownership of Jewish businesses was taken over by non Jewish,as the EU labeled policy will achieve. Jews in 1935 were required to carry identity cards, that is exactly what the EU labeling settlement accomplishes.
This EU policy is in violation with the Fourth Geneva Convention. The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies. The Arabs are the occupying power, the Jews are the indigenous people of the EU labeled areas. It is the Arabs that took this land from the Jews in conquest and are the occupies. The Arabs are in violation of the 1922 Partition, that has given them the “East Bank” of Palestine, resolving the Jewish Arab conflict and establishing a two solution from which the 1920 British Mandate of Palestine was divided into to two states, one Jewish, and one Arab. Calling Arabs in Israel, Palestinians does not cut it, they are Arabs. the Arabs in Jordan are from that same cloth the Palestinians in Israel are from. Jordan recognizes that it has a Palestinian population. So, the only tangible solution in this dispute is for the EU to help all those in their labeled territories that do not wish to live in a Jewish state to be relocated to Jordan or a destination outside Israel of their choice.
Since the Palestinian Authority was established, it has systematically used antisemitism to indoctrinate its people to hate Israelis and Jews. The PA has actively promoted religious hatred spreading libels that present Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, allied with the devil, as well as descendants of apes and pigs. That Jews throughout history have represented falsehood, evil, the devils and their supporters. The EU taking a position along side the PA, makes them an accomplice to this.
It is not just the EU we have a universal problem with, the Obama administration’s ending its sanctions was compounded by the administration’s announcement that the U.S. will also pay Iran an additional $1.7 billion settlement, including $1.3B interest. Obama also announced that the U.S. is releasing and granting clemency to six convicted Iranian-Americans and one convicted Iranian in what the President termed “a reciprocal humanitarian gesture” Obama has said, these developments are a “good day”.
The ball is in Israels court. Only we are the “Masters of our Destiny”. This cannot go on forever. So, lets just do, whatever it is we have to do, to put this issue to rest and get on with our lives. Whatever it is will never not hurt our standing in the eyes of world leaders any more or less than it does today. We lost too many love ones to Oslo, its time to correct it!
