One person was killed and five people were injured in an traffic accident on Route 1 near Naveh Ilan in the vicinity of Jerusalem on Sunday. Police said the accident occurred between two trucks.

MDA paramedics were treating five injured people on the scene. One person was described as seriously injured and the reat were lightly injured.

Police suggested people traveling to and from Jerusalem on Route 1 use Route 443 instead to avoid heavy traffic.
