Some 100 haredi protesters blocked Bar Ilan road in Jerusalem Monday night with grocery store garbage, and burned trash cans in Mea Shearim.

The protests were in opposition to an archaeological excavation in Jaffa which they claim desecrates Jewish graves.

The protesters clashed with police, and two people were injured when they collided with grocery store trash the haredim had rolled onto the road.
