A 13-year-old Beersheba girl was hospitalized in moderate condition on Saturday afternoon, after she was attacked and bitten across her face and upper body by an Amstaff in the city.

The girl was reportedly walking with a friend next to a public park in the Naal Ashan neighborhood of the city, when the dog attacked her.

The girl was rushed by Magen David Adom paramedics to Soroka Hostpial in the city, suffering from severe lacerations to her face and upper body.

Police suspect the dog had not been tied up properly by its owner before the attack.
