The two people killed in a car accident at the Holot interchange on Route 4 near Rishon Lezion overnight Tuesday were IDF officers, the IDF Spokesman's Office revealed Wednesday morning.

Two additional officers were injured, one seriously and one lightly, in the incident which the IDF called a military car accident.

The four officers served at a naval base in Ashdod.
