200 medical residents threaten to skip work

Over 200 medical residents said they would not show up to work on Monday after another round of talks with the Finance Ministry failed to make any progress.
The decision is in line with High Court judge Hanan Meltzer's ruling two weeks ago that, should no compromise be reached, residents could resign under the condition that they pledged not to return to work.
The residents kept their plans quiet until the last minute to avoid a court injunction, Army Radio reported.
