During the night, Israel Police and border forces arrested 24 residents of East Jerusalem on suspected involvement in terrorist activities, including throwing stones and Molotov cocktails, violent riots and fights and incitement on the Internet.According to a statement from police on Wednesday afternoon, "the direct result of the operation is evident in the field and is an integral part of the police's activity.

"On the one hand, we are exposing the serious offenses that directly harm residents living in the area, as well as the security forces operating in the area," the police said, "On the other hand, by tightening the direct connection of the normative residents with the police to increase the sense of security and trust among the city's residents and visitors."
