2nd Southwest flight makes unscheduled landing this week

A Southwest Airlines jetliner carrying 142 passengers was diverted to Los Angeles, California Sunday night due to a burning electrical smell in the passenger cabin, the Associated Press quoted officials as saying. This makes the second unscheduled landing for a Southwest flight this week, as two days ago another aircraft was forced to land when a hole was torn in the passenger cabin ceiling.
No one was seriously injured in either incident. The Associated Press quoted a Southwest official said the source of the burning smell is being investigated.
