A three-year-old girl was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Jerusalem's Rehavia neighborhood on Monday afternoon. The girl was hit on Ushiskin Street by the same minibus which had been transporting her and other schoolchildren to their homes. She was evacuated in critical condition to Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The driver who caused the accident was arrested and brought in for questioning half an hour after the incident, telling policemen he hadn't realized he had run the girl over. The driver has a history of traffic violations.
