A new "Kinneret" poll revealed that 43.2 percent of the Israeli public believes that rabbis have too much influence on the IDF.

Five-hundred Jewish Israeli citizens were polled in the survey.

Only 3.8% said that rabbis have no influence on the IDF, while 8.8% would be happy to see more rabbinical influence on the IDF.

The poll was taken in preparation for a conference to be held next week on IDF-Israeli society relations.
