A collision between a truck and several cars on Bar Yehuda Way in Haifa left five people dead and more than ten people injured on Wednesday, Magen David Adom stated.

MDA paramedics were on the scene treating the injured.

According to Channel 2, the truck hit several cars as well as a number of pedestrians.

The report added that authorities were investigating the possibility that the truck driver hit the cars and pedestrians intentionally.

Police stated that the truck, driving downhill, struck eight vehicles before flipping over and catching fires. Firefighters were on the scene fighting to control the blaze.
