Abbas calls for return of Palestinian refugees

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said that Palestinian were seeking an independent state on the terms of UN Resolution 194, which states that all refugees seeking to return to their homes and live peaceful with their neighbors should be allowed to do so.

Abbas called for a return of all land occupied following the 1967 war, including the entire territory in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Authority president also called for the immediate release of Palestinian prisoners serving time in Israeli jails.
