Abu Tir's remand extended eight days by court

Muhammad Abu Tir, the Palestinian parliament member, had his remand lengthened eight days on Sunday by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court.
Abu Tir was imprisoned for refusing to leave Jerusalem after Interior Minister Eli Yishai invalidated his Jerusalem residence permit along with three other Palestinian legislators for their affiliation with terror group Hamas.
"They do not represent Hamas or any other organization and they have declared that they will only work in accordance with the law," Abu Tir's  lawyer stated in response to the latest move by the court.
