Around 40 people gathered at the US embassy in Tel Aviv at the start of a rally in support of the United States.

Ronen Shoval, founder of the Im Tirzu movement which organized the gathering, said "we are here to support the American people."

The participants waved US and Israeli flags. One large sign, carried by three people, read: "Israel - America's Best Friend In The Middle East."
