Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch said that the police need to show greater determination in pursuing attacks on Arabs, Israel Radio reported Thursday.

Aharonovitch's statement came in the aftermath of the attack on Arab cleaners and shoppers at the Malha Mall in Jerusalem last Monday, allegedly by fans of the soccer team Betar Jerusalem. He added that anyone who took part in the incident would be arrested.

The public security minister said that the police reaction had been unmotivated and unacceptable. He noted that the Jerusalem police commander would be investigating the police's conduct in the incident.
