Aharonovitch holds consultations on police chief candidates

Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch held consultations Monday to discuss the candidates who are running for the role of next police inspector-general.

It is unclear whether Aharonovitch will choose a candidate from within the police due to recent events concerning Police Cmdr. Uri Bar-Lev, who is battling to clear his name after being accused of sexual offenses against two women.
