Ahmadinejad's helicopter forced to make emergency landing

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was forced to make an emergency landing in the country's northeast following an accident, AFP reported on Sunday.

Ahmadinejad was not injured in the incident, according to the report.“The helicopter carrying Dr. Ahmadinejad and a number of officials on Sunday had an accident, but the pilot managed to land the aircraft safely,” an announcement on the Iranian president's website read.
