Inan Vadaj, a 19-year-old resident of Bat Yam, was charged by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Friday with rape and robbery charges in a suspected sexual assault of a 40-year-old woman in the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station restrooms.

Vadaj was charged after DNA evidence implicated him in the attack.

The assailant in the case allegedly raped the female victim and then demanded money from her, receiving NIS 35.

Vadaj has also been charged with a separate case of attempted rape in Jaffa that occurred less than 24 hours after the bus station assault.
