The American Israeli Action Coalition (AIAC) on Monday announced its strong support for the Netanyahu government's rejection of US President Barack Obama's demand that Israel cease all new residential construction in east Jerusalem. "By inserting itself into the internal affairs of the national capitol of the sovereign State of Israel, the Obama administration has delivered the ultimate insult to the democratic State of Israel, the American citizens living in Israel, the Jewish citizens of the United States and their supporters and, indeed, all people of good will throughout the world", stated AIAC Chairman, Harvey Schwartz. "Never before in recorded history has any national leader even attempted to dictate to a sovereign country what it can do within its own national capitol. AIAC congratulates Prime Minister Netanyahu for rejecting Obama's odious intrusion, thereby upholding Israel's national dignity and self-respect". AIAC is a non-partisan, non-political, issue-oriented NGO which was formed in Israel to represent the united voice of the more than 250,000 American citizens living in Israel on issues pertaining to the continued safety and security of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.
