Amir Gilat appointed member of Israel Broadcasting Authority

The government approved Dr. Amir Gilat as a member of the Israel Broadcast Authority's seven-member board of directors on Sunday.

The approval is the first step towards appointing Gilat as director-general of the Israel Broadcasting Authority.Gilat, a former journalist who earned a doctorate at the University of Haifa, served most recently as head of communications and media at the university.
