A delegation of high-ranking Egyptian intelligence officers arrived to the Gaza Strip on Thursday and will meet Hamas leaders, Ynet reported.

The delegation aims to decrease tensions between Hamas and Israel ahead of the march of return protests meant for Friday.

The protests had been ongoing every Friday since the US moved its embassy to Jerusalem.
