An Israeli anti-corruption watchdog is urging the Israel Bar Association on Tuesday to strip former prime minister Ehud Olmert of membership in the wake of his conviction and sentencing to prison for graft-related crimes.

Olmert, a lawyer by trade before entering politics, is due to begin serving a six-year prison sentence this fall after he was convicted in the Holyland trial.
