Apartment fire injures eight, including one seriously in Kfar Baruch

A fire broke out in an apartment in Kfar Baruch in the Jezreel Valley early Friday morning, causing serious injuries to one person, moderate injuries to another and light injuries to six additional people.

Five of those injured in the blaze were children.

An approximately 40-year-old man was in serious condition with burns over 40 percent of his body. His 75-year-old mother suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics treated the injured on the scene before evacuating them to hospital.

Police were investigating the cause of the fire.
