The Arab League is considering a plan to send a force of Arab soldiers to Iraq to fill the void left by evacuating US forces, Arab League Assistant Secretary Ahmed bin Hali said in an interview with London-based Arabic language daily Asharq Al-Awsat, Israel Radio reported on Sunday.

Bin Hali stated that the Arab League's main condition for sending the forces is that they will not be under the command of the US and that the Iraqis themselves will request that they come.
