Arava teenagers cut class to help farmer parents pick crops

High school students cut

Fifty high school students from the central Arava region worked agricultural fields on Wednesday instead of attending classes. The youth were assisting their parents - farmers who have been demonstrating against the government's restrictions to their allotment of foreign workers. "It is very hard to sit in class and concentrate when our parents are outside, scared for the future of the crops," said 15-year-old Yuval Elazri.
