IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi arrived to the Ramon family home in Ramat Gan on Sunday evening to offer his condolences to the mother and relatives of IAF pilot Lt. Assaf Ramon, who was killed in a plane crash in the afternoon. 20-year-old Assaf, son of the late Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon, was killed after the F-16 fighter jet he was piloting crashed into the Hebron Hills.
