Israel will not permit terrorists to operate among civilians, Israel Radio quoted IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi as saying Tuesday. "We did not permit it in the past and we will not permit it now," Ashkenazi stated. He added that the soldiers who fought in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead were interrogated by IDF and that he himself was fully aware of what occurred during the three-week offensive.
