Aushwitz thief was Herzliya official; reportedly resigns

The man arrested and sentenced in Poland last week for stealing mementos from Auschwitz is the deputy director-general of the Herzliya Municipality, Moti Posloshani, Israel Radio reported on Monday. Posloshani reportedly resigned from his position in the Herzliya municipality following the incident.

According to the report, Posloshani is the son of Holocaust survivors and a former high-ranking officer in the IDF
