Aviva Schalit: Series of failures in negotiations

Aviva Schalit, mother of kidnapped soldier Gilad, spoke to Israel Radio Tuesday morning claiming that there have been a series of failures in negotiations for his release.

During the interview with Israel Radio Aviva continued by saying the family does not maintain that Schalit should be released at any cost, instead at the cost that was stated - four hundred and fifty prisoners that Hamas will request and five hundred and fifty that Israel will choose. Aviva stated that senior security officials verified that Israel would be able to cope with the release of the terrorists and if Israel is not able to release Gilad any other way then the price needs to payed.
