Responding to news that Ireland is upgrading its relations with the Palestinian Authority by recognizing a PA embassy in Dublin, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon told The Jerusalem Post that "if the Palestinians would spend a tenth of their energy for meaningful negotiations that they use pushing for largely meaningless declarations and attacking Israel in multilateral forums, then we'd have progress." He added, "The only way Palestinians will achieve any of their aspirations is through honest and open negotiations without any preconditions."
