Balad schedules primary elections for early February

The Israeli-Arab Balad party set the date for primary elections for February 2, 2019, according to a statement to the press.

Six hundred delegates from various districts will participate in the primaries.

Balad announced that in addition to renewing party ranks after the departure of MK Jamal Zahalka and MK Haneen Zoabi, the party will adhere to the principles that it has championed since it was founded.

This includes the preservation of Palestinian identity and battling "Zionist supremacy."
