Ban Ki-Moon calls on Teheran to halt violence against protesters

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon has called on Iranian authorities to end the violence against protesters challenging the results of its presidential elections earlier this month. In a statement released by the UN on Monday night, Ban urged Teheran to halt "arrests, threats and the use of force" against civilians.
