Bar-Ilan University to grant honorary doctorate to NASA administrator

Bar-Ilan University will grant honorary doctorates to leading figures including NASA Administrator The Honorable Charles F. Bolden, Jr. and Australian-Israeli Jewish leader and Jerusalem Post contributor Isi Leibler.
The ceremony will take place on its Ramat Gan campus on June 7th at the 61st Board of Trustees meeting, with Bolden delivering a special lecture Monday on NASA’s journey to Mars. 
Among the recipients include: Nobel Prize winning physicist Prof. Serge Haroche, inspirational speaker Miriam Peretz, former Supreme Court Justice Yaakov Turkel, Israel Prize winning composer Nurit Hirsh, US Jewish welfare activist Rabbi Haskel Lookstein, Rabbi Shlomo Dichovsy, and the Bnei Akiva Youth Movement.
During the course of the week, the University will also celebrate the dedication of the Weisfeld Clinics Wing in the Louis and Gabi Weisfeld School of Social Work and will unveil a plaque at the Wurzweiler Central Library, the eventual home of the 40,000 volume Leibler Judaica Collection which covers all aspects of 4,000 years of Jewish existence in the land of Israel and in the Diaspora.
