Cmdr. Uri Bar-Lev, the Israel Police attache in Washington who is suspected of sexual assaulting an adviser in the Public Security Ministry, said at the Police Investigations Unit office in Jerusalem on Monday: "I came with my truth and it will win."

Bar-Lev said he was not summoned for questioning, but returned to Israel on his own initiative and commented that, compared with the woman who said she was harassed, "I'm not armed with lawyers and public relations agents." Earlier on Monday, Irit Baumoren, Bar-Lev's lawyer, said "We are confident that Bar-Lev's innocence will prove itself."
