Barak 'acted in good faith' giving companies to daughters

Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the State Control Committee on Monday that he "accepted all the conclusions made by the state comptroller," regarding a scathing report into his financial activities immediately prior to his appointment to the cabinet in July 2007.
According to the report, which state comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss published last May, Barak’s companies made more than NIS 4.5 million between 2007 and 2009.
In a special follow-up meeting of the State Control Committee convened to discuss the report, Barak said that all of the actions he had taken to transfer his company's shares to his daughters had been carried out in "good faith and with transparency."
"Since the report was published, I have used every means at my disposal to implement its recommendations," Barak said.
