Outgoing Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday congratulated the IDF for "extraordinary" efforts in bringing quiet to the South.

"Both the prime minister and I spent years on guard here, and I'm telling you that there is a massive improvement [in the security situation]," Barak said during a visit with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to the Gaza border.
