Barak outlaws Arab prisoners organizations

Defense Minister Ehud Barak outlawed an Arab prisoners organization last week, which the Ministry of Defense says is a rehashed version of a previously banned group.
The Association for Arab Prisoners and Released prisoners 1948 was made illegal last week by an administrative decree signed by the defense minister.
The organization was a renamed version of Yedidei Ha'asir (friends of the prisoner), a security source said, adding that it was made illegal in 2006 "due to links with illegal elements in Judea and Samaria."
