In Monday night’s latest tune-up game for the upcoming EuroBasket tournament, Israel fell in agonizing fashion to Georgia, losing 74-73 on some late heroics from Georgian guard Ricky Hickman, who also plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

In front of a decent crowd at Eilat’s Rabin Arena, Omri Casspi (pictured above in blue and white) led the hosts with 18 points in defeat as Arik Shivek’s team fell to 2-5 in their exhibition warmup contests. On Monday, Israel took a four-point lead into the final quarter, but the visitors stayed in the game and Hickman’s bucket with six seconds left proved to be the difference.
