35 people were injured on Monday night when a fire broke out in a four-story apartment building in Beer Yaakov.

Firefighters worked to put out the fire as 20 emergency vehicles were summoned to the scene.

The victims were evacuated to hospitals in Rehovot and Rishon Lezion after suffering injuries from smoke inhalation, minor burns, and fractures and bruises they sustained after jumping out the windows of the building. 30 were injured lightly while the remaining 5 incurred moderate wounds.

Polic were investigating the circumstances of the fire.
