A 24-year-old man died on Friday from injuries he sustained when he smashed his car into a tree on Ya'akov Duri Street in Beersheba on Thursday.

Paramedics rushed the man, who was in critical condition, to the Soroka University Medical Center in the city, where he died of his injuries. 

Local traffic police began investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
