Bennett: Likud boycotted Bayit Yehudi after elections

Bayit Yehudi leader Naftali Bennett on Saturday said that Likud Beytenu "boycotted" his party following Knesset elections in January.
Bennett's comments came after Netanyahu suggested earlier on Saturday that Bayit Yehudi and Yesh Atid had been "boycotting" the haredi parties and thus preventing the formation of a broad-based coalition.
"In the days following the elections, the Likud refused to speak with Bayit Yehudi. They boycotted us," Bennett said in a Facebook post.
"We knew that if we sat quietly we would be in the opposition. I sat with Yair Lapid and we agreed that Yesh Atid would not join the government without Bayit Yehudi, and Bayit Yehudi would not join the government without Yesh Atid," Bennett stated.
