Looking ahead to a Knesset panel vote on Sunday on a bill that if passed could be used to prevent releases of terrorists in future peace talks,  Economy Minister Naftali Bennett said the "time has come to put an end" to freeing "murderous terrorists."

"For the last thirty years Israeli governments have been releasing murderous terrorists. Sometimes in exchange for something. Sometimes in exchange for nothing," Bennett said on Facebook late Saturday.

The Ministerial Committee for Legislation was schedule to vote on the legislation seeking to allow courts to sentence murderers to life in prison without parole.
