As a part of a reform introduced by Religion Services Minister Naftali Bennett on Sunday, the registration areas for marriage will be opened and each couple would be able to register wherever they want, Israel Radio reported.

The reform will also include narrowing down the number of religious councils from 133 to 80.

Bennett said the reform is expected to make religious services more accessible to the public, and encourage rabbis and religious councils to provide a better service.
