Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said he was 'deeply troubled' by the ongoing events in Israel and the West Bank in a statement released Tuesday morning. 'Israel must act with restraint when operating in populated Palestinian areas – including Gaza – and ensure that civilians are not harmed,' he said. Blair said he was concerned with the deaths of Palestinian civilians and wide-scale arrests in the West Bank, but reiterated his condemnation of the kidnapping of the three Israeli teenagers.
