Blast in NW Pakistan kills five people, police say

ISLAMABAD - A suspected suicide bomber killed five people on Thursday in an attack outside a police station in the northwestern Pakistan town of Hangu, police said.

"Apparently it was a suicide attack," Mohammad Ehsan, a police officer, told Reuters by telephone. "Bodies are lying there. We have five confirmed dead."

Pakistani television said the death toll was as high as eight.
