After announcing his leave from the Israeli basketball scene for the NBA, Maccabi Tel Aviv coach David Blatt endorsed on Thursday assistant coach Guy Goodes to serve as the team's next head coach.

Blatt denied rumors linking him to a position with the Cleveland Cavaliers, saying  he had not received an offer from the team.
