Border Police officer struck by rock evacuated to Jerusalem hospital

A Border Police officer was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after being struck in the head by a rock thrown by a suspected Palestinian assailant in Jerusalem, according to a police statement.

The incident occurred in the Issawiya neighborhood of east Jerusalem located near the Hebrew University. The assailant was also accused of throwing a Malatov cocktail at Border Police officers before being arrested.
