Boy, 17, suspected of raping girl, 14, in public park

A 17-year-old boy was arrested overnight Wednesday on suspicion that he raped a 14-year-old girl in central Israel. In her police complaint, the girl said that she had walked with the boy to a public park, and there he stripped her of her clothes without her consent and raped her. During a police interrogation, the boy claimed that the sex was consensual. The boy is expected to be charged in a Petah Tikva court on Thursday morning.
