Britain: Cast Lead protesters given reduced sentences

Seven protesters arrested after a demonstration at the Israeli embassy in London last year against Operation Cast Lead were handed reductions in their sentences Tuesday.
More than 100 people were arrested after last year's demonstration, when protesters burned Israeli flags, threw bottles and stones at police and attacked a coffee shop.
Seventy-eight protesters were charged following the protests, most with violent disorder.
The Court of Appeal on Tuesday reduced the sentences for the seven men from a maximum of two years to terms of between 10 to 21 months.
The court refused to reduce the sentences of three others.
